3/15/07 – Enviro Data Version 1.7 |
Geotech continues to roll out new features in our flagship Enviro Data product, now in its tenth year of use by many government and private sector clients. Version 1.7 includes a new system to store geologic unit information independent of sample data. Users can now define geologic information at locations such as boreholes and outcrops, including the geologic unit, lithology, etc. Support for import and manipulation of oil and gas related data, including production, have been added as well. We have also added support for documents associated with locations. The user can now select a station and call up documents (permits, boring logs, etc.) associated with that location. The internal map display tool in Enviro Data has been significantly upgraded, replacing the older GeoObjects tool with the MapObjects tool from ESRI. Benefits from this change include greater support for other base map formats, now including AutoCAD drawing files, ESRI Shapefiles, and bitmap images, and more output options for maps. New import options, including the EPA/Corps of Engineers SEDD format have been added, as well as several new export formats, including ERIS and Terrabase, joining existing formats such as ERPIMS, Access, Excel, etc.. Modifications to the Parameters table greatly improve handling of the same analysis by multiple methods. Users can now check for valid methods during import, the Validation module is now more flexible in handling multiple methods, and the selection and reporting by method has been improved. These features are all in the software that is now shipping. Watch this space for an announcement soon of even bigger changes and improvements in our 2008 version, due out soon! |
